WE CASTRATE OR STERILISE AND CHIP EVERY CAT UNDER OUR CARE.

Since 1 November 2017 it is required that all kittens are chipped and registered in the CatID database before they reach the age of 12 weeks. All cats changing owners have to be chipped and registered too. This law is also applicable for cats and kittens that are given away for free.

Castration and sterilisation

Since 1 September 2014, all cats and kittens need to be neutered before sale or adoption, even when they are given away for free! In addition, all kittens born after 1 April 2018 need to be neutered before reaching the age of 5 months. Cats that were born between 31 August 2014 and 31 March 2018 needed to be neutered by 1 January 2020. An exception is made for cats that are bound for a licensed breeder (with a HK-number) or for cats bound for other countries. These cats do not need to be sterilised or castrated.
